Meet Our YOGAPL3Y Team!
Our program creators research and test the best practices in sharing yoga & mindfulness with children and combine those with fundamental movement skills, self regulation exercises and social emotional learning to create purposeful classes that are fun & engaging!
We design classes that address the 4 Elements of Physical Literacy (physical, social, affective, behavioural) as well as positive mental health. Our goal is to combine both high-energy & calming experiences that inspire positivity, playfulness and fun while providing kids with valuable tools that they can use throughout their life. Our YOGAPL3Y team encourages children to connect with themselves, others and the world!
YOGAPL3Y Program director
Christina Aaron, BSc., 200hr e-RYT, YACEP & Children’s Yoga Instructor, is obsessed with helping children & youth gain the confidence and ability to be the very best versions of their own unique selves. She believes that there is no better way to instill the skills and tools necessary to have the courage to be your best self than through the practice of yoga. Empowering kids to feel comfortable and strong in their body, to use their breath to calm themselves and get through stressful times, to focus and to self-regulate are invaluable skills that children & youth can use throughout their life. Christina is passionate about sharing yoga with children in a fun & playful way and she is grateful for the opportunity to teach others how to do the same.
Christina completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with world renowned yoga teacher Nicki Doane in 2014, and she continues to study with her annually.
